The focus of this blog is on social media and how it has and continues to make an enormous impact on marketing in the entertainment industry. Traditional marketing isn’t enough anymore; the use of social media has proven to be a faster and more inexpensive way to spread the word about products and services around the world. Social media marketing can be intentional or unintentional, and it can bring good attention or bad attention to a company. In any case, social media gets the world talking, and allows businesses to see what consumers want, and don’t want, whereas, before social media, people had limited ways of expressing themselves about said products and the way they are marketed.
